Liberia's National County Sports Meet is the country's premier inter-county sporting competition, first established in 1956. Organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and supported by the Liberia Football Association, the tournament brings together teams representing Liberia's 15 counties. While football is the flagship event, the competition has expanded over the years to include other sports such as basketball and kickball. Beyond the competition itself, the County Meet serves as a powerful symbol of national unity, reconciliation, county pride, and talent development, making it one of Liberia's most anticipated annual sporting events.
